Begin reading to your children at as early an age as you feel comfortable, the earlier the better. When you read a page, hand the book to your child and point out the words. Picture books with words are the best.
I am a retired school teacher and my daughter began reading before age three. When she got to college, it was all paid for because of her four scholarships. Reading is essential.
